This is common to all versions of M$-Word. We experience this odd behaviour of
M$-Office products if the pictures are inserted by copying. Sometimes it helps
if the pictures are imported by reference.

Never, at no time, under no circumstance use M$-Office products for documents of
important contents. Use Adobe instead, or some other sophisticated word
processing software (TeX, or LaTeX).
