Ok. I'll try this tonight if I can get a few minutes free. Seems like
how high the log level can be set and what you can expect would be a
Really Good Thing [tm] to be documented in the man file.

That's good to hear too. Sounds like it has to be something with my set
up then. Hopefully setting the log level higher than 3 will tell me
what's wrong. I'd like to have this working by Saturday. If I can't I'm
going to have to hack up something with PHP so the local admin guy can
at least have some method of getting scripts in place for new users
(he's an admin only in the sense that he knows more than anybody else at
that facility). If I can't get it automated at least something where the
guy can fire up a browser and click a couple of buttons is better than
nothing.
