[Samba] Connection reset

Hello All,
            We have been experiencing a strangeness with our samba server, and I am beginning to doubt that the server is the cause.  The error I get is this "read_socket_data: recv failure for 4. Error = Connection reset by peer" in my log.smbd.   I've tried samba on sco and Redhat, I'm beginning to believe the problem is with our NT client.  Basically we have a 10k text file that gets downloaded 3 times a day.  During high network traffic times the file fails to copy entirely, leaving us with ½ the expected text file.  Have you guys ever heard of this before?
