I modified his smbfs patches for "unix extensions" during the weekend
(they are in 2.5 now). Didn't read the whole page though ...

The changes needed in 3.0 to get smbmount to support kerberos are really
small.

One possible issue with that is that a mount that is disconnected needs to
reconnect and if the kerberos ticket has expired it will fail. The answer
would be to avoid being disconnected ...

Haven't checked how smbpwman talks to smbmount, but whatever it is the
others should be able to do so as well.
