Yuo not write version of samba and kernel but by log error i mean that many
dist have kernel compile with slim limits of open files (1023) but samba
need or can open 10000 files at a time...
I dont how many clients you have but try check when problem ocurs smbstatus
and how open files have you.
Another check is posible when start samba in log is error message of file
count limit...
Then yuo try recompile or reset kernel num files...
