[Samba] Samba Speed Problem

Had the same problems: from samba  (debian) to win -> fast, reverse very
slow. 
But the same effect happends with other protocols (nfs, ftp). 
 
It was the network card. The autonegotiation at startup was not correct. 
 
Try to reset or configure the nic with the mii-tool
(http://www.scyld.com/diag/). 
 
After resettiung the card, verything was fine. 
 
Unsure if it solves your problem. It's worth a try.
