[Samba] SWAT set up

It looks Samba is installed and running, but now I need to set up 
SWAT. I am working on Pentium 200 with 64 MB of RAM and didn't 
really want to install a GUI if I didn't need one. I am working with 
Mandrake 9.0

I went into /usr/sbin and tried to run swat. The only thing that 
happened was it output the words "Alarm close" to the screen after 
about three minutes, and then I was back at a prompt.

I have checked out <www.samba.org>, but found the instruction 
there to be quite inadequate.
