For those that are interested, here's how to disable webDAV:

Open Regedit
search for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MRxDAV"
change "Start" to 0  (that's zero)

I figure this will require a reboot to work (since we are not stopping the
service, but telling it not to start).
