Hi, After some experiment with MSDFS on Samba I have seen this problems
and I don't know if this are caused by my possible wrong configuration or
if are "feature" of MSDFS:

-as described into the documentation I compiled a Samba version with
--with-msdfs and this smb.conf (server 172.26.11.236). The configuration
file is:

[Global]
 host msdfs = yes

[dfs]
 path = /mnt/disk
 msdfs root = yes

[prova]
 comment = Test per syslog
 path = /home/prova
 browseable = yes
 writable=yes
 valid users = prova

- then I added this share to a standard (Mandrake 8.2) Samba packet
(172.26.11.9)

[prova]
 comment = Test per syslog
 path = /home/prova
 browseable = yes
 writable=yes
 valid users = prova

-Into /mnt/disk of 172.26.11.236 I added this link:

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           43 nov  4 08:19 linkc -> msdfs:172.26.11.236\prova,172.26.11.9\prova

-Using windows and viewing //172.26.11.236/prova with user prova I can
access to /home/prova. But the creation of a file or a directory (from
the Windows client) result in the modification of only one of the Samba
server.

So my question is: How can I use the replication feature (if exists) of
MSDFS?

Thank you very much and best regards!

Fabrizio.
