[Samba] file and directory permissions

I have just installed Samba 2.2.6 and have joined this box into an NT4 
domain. When i try to change the directory or file permissions from say W2k 
(right clicking and then proerties) It lets me do it but doesnt save it.
It reverts back to a default setting giving everyone and the unix directory 
owner full access. 

How can i change permissions from Windows using the standard acl
