[Samba] Sudden change in profile access

Hi list

I have been running a SAMBA PDC for quite a while (currently a version 2.2.5). 
A couple of days ago, some of my users started complaining that they could 
not get their profiles when logging in to their work station.

The problem is it takes ages for the client to log on (due to it can not 
access the profile.....a .w2k dir in the users homedirs). I cannot figure out 
what happened. When looking at the permissions on the server (Linux) 
everything looks fine for the .w2k folder). Besides there are no indications 
on the log files that anything should be wrong!

Has anyone had any similar experiences and/or suggestions?
