[Samba] Windows XP

Thank you. I did this. I did also have the add user script(add user script
= /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 100 -s /bin/false -M %u)Still, though,
when I am on my XP machine, it tells me that either the domain is
unreachable or there is no account for my workstation. Now, when I look at
the log file, there are two of them for this machine, there is tyler.log and
tyler.log.1. It would appear that tyler.log.1 is the old one. tyler.log is
empty. There are no new entries in either one for this morning when I tried
to log into it. The machine does show up as a samba user. There is,
however, a $ behind the name. That designates it being a machine? I am
still kind of at a loss.

your help is greatly appreciated.

jim

Did you remember to run smbpasswd on the machine account?
