[Samba] winbindd not working - linux s/390

reproduce problem:

linuxt1:/usr/local/samba # smbclient //besec0lonsmbt/home_marc -U
EU+begrietm
added interface ip=43.206.37.173 bcast=43.206.37.255 nmask=255.255.254.0
Got a positive name query response from 43.206.37.201 ( 43.206.37.173 )
Password:
Domain=[EU] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.4]
<here winbind crashes>
