This is the 'nua' (Non Unix Accounts) feature I have added to some of
the passdb backends in HEAD. However, it is only of use for
authenticaion, you cannot 'use' these users for anything more that a
domain logon (via the netlogon pipe).
Samba needs the unix accounts to allocate uid etc for the process when
acting as that user.
