The basic command to print to a windows printer is from a linux client is:
cat FileFormattedForYourPrinter | smbclient //servername/printershare \
PasswordStuff -c "print -"
If you leave off the password stuff you will be prompted for it.
If this doesn't work, then, you have to find out why.
You can also just:
smbclient //servername/printershare
and log on to the share. You print files with:
print LocalFileFormattedForYourWindowsPrinter
Crank up the debugging information with -d6 (after printershare) or whatever.
Remember that windows doesn't filter anything for you.
Remember you don't need a samba server to run smbclient.
