for the domain "dom".

He is the local and domain master browser on its subnet and for its

Right, nothing wrong with it. it works great.

My problem: I would like to add a host named "kakou" (on my
workgroup "dom"). When i simply add it in the lmhosts file,

    and asks samba via

    # nmblookup -U 127.1 -R 'foo'

    it answers me

querying kakou on
Sending a packet of len 50 to ( on port 137

In other words, nmbd seemed to never seek my lmhosts file...

I've also tried various syntax in the lmhosts file without any

    What have i missed?

    Thanks for any tips,
    kind regards
