[Samba] General question.

I can't see it as a problem, providing of course that you edit the
'Makefile' in the 'source' directory of Samba-2.2.3a (I assume the same for
other versions) and redefine the Samba config paths etc.. in the Makefile,
then do the standard 'make', 'make install'.

You'd NEED to run ./configure BEFORE editing the Makefile though, always a
good idea.

I haven't personally tested this, but I can't see any real problems except
when it comes to SWAT, I haven't tried to reconfigure SWAT's port, if you
could do that, then you THEORETICALLY could have many Samba servers running
on just 1 box with their SWAT counterparts running, so you can easily Admin
the domain(s).

Just my 0.2 pence.
