[Samba] ssh tunnel causes win98 to hang

Thanks for the link Noel. Actually that is the one that got me as far as I
am now with ssh.

Since I posted my previous message, windows stopped hanging and gave an
"invalid directory" message when trying to open a file on a ssh tunneled
samba share. However, I was able to open the same text file using DOS.

I'm a relative newbie and have been experimenting with ssh tunneling. The
problem is when I try to open a file on the tunneled share, windows explorer
freezes. I can copy and paste to the share but not open files there. BTW,
my regular (not tunneled) share works fine.
I'm using samba 2.07 on the server and windows puTTy on the client. puTTy
is set to forward ports 137-138 from localhost to the server. The share was
mounted using this dos command:
net use g: \\cameronlocal\cam

and cameronlocal entered into lmhosts:
  127.0.0.1 cameronlocal
