You're in luck. I just re-structured the open processing
code in the SAMBA_2_2 CVS and HEAD CVS trees to fix this.

You can either check out the fixes directly from CVS or
you'll have to wait until the 2.2.4 release (no due date
yet... still some more bugs to fix).
