PDC/WINS/Subnetting ProblemsI don't think you are doing anything wrong. What
you are experiencing is a very common problem in your situation.

What should be happening is the PDC will be the domain master browser and
hold all the browse list (network heighborhood) for all machines. One
machine on each network will become the local master browser and if it is a
member of the domain should syncronise with the PDC.

Are eng1 and eng2 the only windows machines on that network?
If there are other windows machines they could be becoming the master
browser and not syncronising with the PDC.

  Here it goes:

I have just set up a Linux Redhat 7.2 (Samba 2.2.3a) to act as a PDC..
It's name is Babelfish. I have attached 2 WinNTWs machines called eng1 and
eng2. Adding them to the domain works perfectly. Working with users is fine
too, and roaming profiles works perfectly as well. Eng1 and Eng2 use
Babelfish as a WINS server.

Babelfish is on a seperate subnet than eng1 and eng2 (unavoidable).

The only flaw is the dang Network Neighborhood. It only lists babelfish,
but not eng1 and eng2. It seems WINS is working fine as I can make requests
to it and it resolves ENG1 and ENG2.. They all can ping each other too.

  What am I doing wrong?

  Thanks,
  JMS
