Hello! :o)

I recently installed the latest version of samba (Version 2.2.3a)
via rpm on a Redhat 6.2 machine. I copied my old SWAT generated
smb.conf file unchanged and everything seems to be functioning
well, with two exceptions. The first exception is shown in the following
excerpt from /var/log/messages.

Mar 20 20:56:17 pdc nmbd[26270]: [2002/03/20 20:56:17, 0]
nmbd/nmbd_namequery.c:query_name_response(104)
Mar 20 20:56:17 pdc nmbd[26270]: query_name_response: Multiple (2)
responses received for a query on subnet 192.168.0.7 for name
DILIGENCE.COM<1d>.
Mar 20 20:56:17 pdc nmbd[26270]: This response was from IP 192.168.0.6,
reportingan IP address of 192.168.0.6.

What the heck is that about? I've seen a few people ask the same
question in archived mail list messages (searched from Google) but
I've never seen a response other than one "I'm having the same
problem" reply.

My second exception is that I can mount a share from my workstation,
but not from other workstations. I have domain authentication set up
and the samba server is joined to the domain
(smbpasswd -j diligence.com was successful).

Are these issues perhaps related? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your assistance,

Jer
