[Samba] disabling offline caching from samba

I'm preparing to roll out a bunch of win XP clients and and am running
down all the quirks
that come up in the application log on my test box.

1) AutoEnrollement fails - samba is not an active directory so this
makes sense
it must be disabled by editing the group policy
with gpedit.msc
computer configuration->windows settings -> security settings -> public
key policies -> autoenrollment settings
must be set to "do not enroll ..."

but I'm not sure what to do with the various warnings about offline
caching being enabled on the roaming profile share...

I've disabled offline caching by unchecking "enable offline files" in
control panel-> folder options -> offline files
(now thats a logical place for this setting... only took me about 3
hours to find it)
Aparently that is not sufficient since I still get the warnings in the
log...

Is there some way to make samba not allow offline caching ?
(it seems that this is done at the share level on an XP server)

is this a result of the same problem that Stuart Haas just reported
(where offline caching stopped working)?

thanks!

brad
