hi,

Are you able to ldapsearch your user ? Can you see him/her in your 
ldap-browser ldap://localhost/o=ldaptest,c=br/??sub (Netscape 4.7x)

How did you compile samba --with-ldapsam ? What kind of Platform do you 
have ?
