Subject: [Samba] MS Office crashes on files from samba 2.2.3a Server

Hi,

I use a RH7.2++ samba-2.2.3a-6, kernel-2.4.9-7 PDC configured server. If
I open a MS Office file (word/excel), the changes can be saved, but
closing the application crashes it. I'v read about oplock problems on
this list and in the net; the only solution was to update to 2.2.5 and
may be to RH 7.3++.

I set oplocks = no, level2 oplocks = no (GLOBAL), hoping that would help
  - but it diden't :-(

The logfiles also has entries concerning oplocks.

Is there any chance to avoid an installation/update for the moment?

Thanks for any help and suggestions !!

BTW. Openoffice or Photoshop diden't have that problem ;-)
