I tried it several more times. Moving files back and forth. The exact
message I get from Windows is:

--------
Error Copying File or Folder (In the title bar)

Cannon copy <filename>: There has been a sharing violation.

The Source or destination file may be in use.
--------

There is no preview pane active, I'm using explorer in tree format, not
using it via double clicking on "My computer". Nothing in the event log
either on the Windows machine, or on the Linux box. I did a tail on every
file in /var/log/samba/ and on /var/log/messages, nothing relating to samba
in the last few hours.

Its on more than one box that this problem occurs. I have 2 W2K boxes, and
it occurs on both. Both are sp2, with IE 5.55 sp2 , and DX 8.1.

It doesn't occur every time though, just every now and then. But, it seems
to occur more frequently once it happens. Eg, I can move 5 or 6 files down
to the Linux box, no problem, it'll get the error, and now I can move one
more before it errors again, and now I'm screwed, because it won't move
any, only copy and delete.

Thanks.
