[Samba] strange samba problem with connection timeout...

smbmount uses the methods listed in your smb.conf to find the IP number
for the name you have given. So check that and the places it points to (eg
for dns /etc/hosts /etc/resolve.conf ...).

You can set the debug level and perhaps get some more info.
