Hello.

I have a little problem with samba acls.
I want to forbid users the execution of
programs on a samba share. So i played with
the executeable flag but i had no success.
For example, i copied the notepad.exe from
WINNT dir to a samba share.
-----
ls -l
-rw-------    1 b20uefa  teilnehmer    46352 Nov  1  1996 NOTEPAD.EXE

getfacl ~b20uefa/NOTEPAD.EXE

# file: daten/uefa/b20uefa/NOTEPAD.EXE
# owner: b20uefa
# group: teilnehmer
user::rw-
group::---
other::---
-----
as you can see, there are no "x" flag, but if i
make a double click - notepad appears.
I attempted it with a Windows NT Server
and it worked - WindowsNT says access denied.

I use samba 2.2.4, kernel 2.4.18 with acl
and ext3-fs. The clients are using Windows NT 4.

Does anyone have a hint for me?

Bye
     Tilo
