[Samba] smbpasswd Question ...

The password does not have to match. But: You can connect to any 
shares as root with the samba password and you then have any rights 
in share. Take care about this and may be use "invalied users = root" 
in the share definitions. You may try [global] as well, but this may 
breack the domain joining.
