When I mount linux/windows samba shares with smbmount (command line or with
komba2) I have this kind of error :
[thomas at Daemon / ]$ cd Dance\ \&\ Techno
[thomas at Daemon Dance & Techno]$ ls
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address cbff0000

The problem is that the processus (here ls, but the same happened with xmms or
konqueror) turns itself into the 'D' mode. A kill -9 with root privileges will
not kill him. umount -a -t smbfs will not work (device busy) even if i try the
force option. When trying to reboot ('reboot') mount warns that it can't unmount
the mounted filesystem (device busy) and it hangs. I am forced to use alt+sysRQ.
Has anyone ever had this problem ? Can this be related to the original mount
program I use ? For the moment I am forced to use smbclient ... damn
I'm on linux 2.4.18 - mandrake 8.2
I had this problem with samba 2.2.3a and i switched recently to 2.2.4 but the
same problem still occurs (on the same shares !!).
