[Samba] Just a quickie

Hello samba,

I have a question. On my w2k network I have only three network
protocols, Client for MS, FIle+Print sharing, and TCP/IP and the
network works fine. However samba needs the NetBIOS nameserver in
order to have a name. Why is this? Secondly TCP is routable, would it
have more packet over heads than using netbios?
