[Samba] strange samba problem

No rje is a folder in users unix home direcotry

/home/samantha
under this rje is folder

You mention that you are changing the home directory name. I am assuming 
something like the following:

mv /home/rje /home/rjeorg

If this is correct, then the problem could be simple. If you simply 
change the home directory name, without updating the /etc/passwd file, 
then unix (and samba for home directory mapping) are not going to be 
able to display the directory, because to them it does not exist.
