Hi!

I've recently been given our company FreeBSD 4.0 UNIX server to look after
since our sys admin left for a new job.
Fortunately everything works fine with our Win 98/2k network except for
occasional problems when trying to access our
public directory when browsing the windows network. The error Windows
explorer comes back with is "unable to connect
to Buffy. Network is busy", with Buffy being the name of the server.

Here is a copy of the log.smb set to level 3 with it working:

Here is the same where I get the windows error message:

I have seen posts by people with both the "broken pipe" and "UNKNOWN (0.
0.0.0)" messages seperately on the samba lists
before but not with both together or using the same NOS as us, so I can't
be sure if this is related.

Could anyone give me a few pointers for solving this problem?

Cheers,

Nick
