Assign a third name (say 'sasv04') to the floating IP address.  Users
will access the service via that "Virtual" name instead of the "Phyical"
names.  That way you can move the service from one physical machine to
another without the users ever knowing the difference.

BTW: That is also why you would have multiple smbd processes running. 
One for the physical machine name (if you need to get at shares that are
only available on the physical box), and one for the virtual machine
name when it is attached to that box.
