Swat and samba pid files

Hejsa/Hello samba,

  where does swat look for the smbd/nmbd files??

  I'm asking because until reasonly swat did show the status of the
  daemons but now it doesn't ... i don't believe to have changed
  anything in smb.conf that could affect the behaviour of swat..

  I'm running samba 2.2.2
