Off Topic : NEC 1800 Driver for Linux

Is the nec1800 a postscript printer? If it is, you might be able to print
to it without a specific driver, no? Most linux apps produce postscript
output. You could use enscript -Z to convert your text files to postscrirpt.
What problem are you having?
