MAXMEM optimization msg during 'make'

When running the very first 'make', I get this message during the compilings:

1500-030: (I) INFORMATION: connect_one: Additional optimization may be attai
ned by recompiling and specifying MAXMEM option with a value greater than
2048.


Is this MAXMEM option in Samba, and if so, where would I find it so I can
increase the value?  Thank you for any help.
