Win2k Re-connect

Hi, I am brand new to Samba and this group. I'm not sure if this is a Samba issue, but maybe someone has seen this happen?

My Windows 2000 client keeps asking for the password when automatically restoring a Samba connection. Is there any way to get it to remember the password correctly?

P.S.
Plain text passwords are used--the client has the registry "patch" installed. Connecting works fine once the password is provided.
