Fwd: Problem seeing the master domain servers in network neighborhood

Dear groups,

I found that my servers do not work with "smbclient -L
server" if I set "security=server" within the smb.conf. If
"security=user" or "share", "smbclient -L server" works great.

I found that if I took the line "nobody = guest..." out of my
username map , /etc/samba/smbusers, the server appears in the network
neighborhood. With this change Windows users can log directly onto
the server as they logon to their Windows account or they can logon
by finding the server through the network neighborhood. The "nobody
= guest..." line in the username map is there by default with the
installation of samba.
