Weird case problem.

I've got a VB application that creates a file with an uppercase extension on
my Samba 2.2.2 server, even though I've got default case set to lower and
preserve case set to yes.

Shouldn't the file be created in lower case?  I've tried several things in
the app, like embeding the file name in quotes and making sure its in lower
case, etc, to no avail.

Any hints?
