I am not trying to run a samba server, but I want to be able to have files downloaded with smbclient to be created with a umask of 0770. I have added to my [global] section of smb.conf: create mode = 0770 force create mode = 0770 This didn't work. I'm sure I am missing a small point, but I haven't been able to find it.
