Printing with SAMBA and a Windows 2000 Client... !??

This fix seems all well and good, unless you want the clients to download
the drivers from the samba server. Does anyone have any idea how to make
this portion work? I've been beating my head against the monitor with this
one...

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your answer.

An old Deskjet 600. [ Although it still works fine, I'm planning to buy a
new one ;) ]

I'll see if I can find the settings you described above. And try to make it
work. I'll let you know.

Thanks,
Dimitry

What printer model?

You can disable MS-RPC printing support (i.e. make samba 2.2 work just
like samba 2.0) but setting "disable spoolss = yes"). This will kill
driver downloads though and is not really the recommended configuration.
