What version of Samba?  Can you try this with the latest SAMBA_2_2 cvs?

In Samba 2.2, the "Samba Printer Port" is just a placeholder.
The port is not actually used for anything.  Remember that Samba
is just a spooler to hand the job off to the server's underlying
print system.
