problem with XP home edition

Pls, excuse if the subject was already discutted in the list, but I didn't
find it

I have a Samba server and a XP home edition client, I would like to use
security = users or share, but it is not working

If someone would send a sample of smb.conf working for this or complete
explanation of what I need to have.
