configuring SAMBA to accept Spanish keyboard

Hi

QUbe3-SUn Cobalt-Samba 2.0.9

Our intention is to allow users to manipulate from Windows Systems filenames
with accents like á é í ó ú ñ and same in capitals

I added the following entryt to /etc/smb.conf

valid chars = é:É ñ:Ñ á í ó ú
But only get é, ñ ,Ñ, É to work. 
Please could you help me on that,
