There are several things you can do to reduce the size of a profile.  90%
+ of the size of these large profiles is in Outlook/Outlook Express mail 
files and internet cache.  For example, I store all outlook *.pst files 
in users's home shares and all internet cache locally.  In doing this, 
I've reduced the size of just about all profiles to less than 10mb.
