[Samba] Unable to map drive after period of inactivity

Hi 

I'm working intermittently on a Linux hosted WEB site. I installed the version of Samba supplied with RHL 7.2 during the set up. When I return to the machine after a period of several days, I find I cannot re-establish a map to the Linux shares. Rebooting has no effect. However, if I re-enter the usernames/passwords using smbadduser, then I can re-connect. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix?
