[Samba] Getting started

Hi 

I'm new to this game and need some help to getting started with samba. I was told by a guy that samba was the thing for using windows files in Linux

I have just installed Mandrake to my computor and would like to try out some crossover from all my office dokument 

I have dovnloaded Samba 2.2..X, and innstalled it (I think), but I can't find the start button :-)
