[Samba] Need Share Advice

I did that and I recieve the following error when trying to connect

\\server\backup

The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials ??

So, you have added root to smbpasswd?  as in smbpasswd -a root?

If so, then you might need to enable clear-text passwords on the client or
set encrypted passwords = yes in the [common] section.
