[Samba] Samba 2.2.1a PDC Help with XP

I have read all of the XP issues that I can find on this site and other
sites and I am still lost.

I have set Samba up as a PDC and it works fine with my Windows 98 machines.
I can change the password on Windows 98 and it changes the Samba password
and the Linux password.

I can browse my Samba server from all the systems in my office. However, the
XP Pro. boxes cannot do a domain logon. I have to retype the user name and
password when I try to access the Samba server from Network Neighborhood.
My goal is to make it seamless.

When I try to set up my domain using the "Network ID" function under System
Properties in Windows XP Pro. it says, "Your computer could not be joined to
the domain because the following error has occurred: The account used is a
computer account. Use your global user account or local account to access
this server." I have changing the registry from 1 to 0 at
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet\Services\ControlSet\Services\Netlogon\
Parameters\requiresignorseal" and that did not help.

If I use the "Change" function under System Properties it gives me the
following message, "The following error occurred attempting to join the
domain "ALPINE": Access denied."

I am using Red Hat Linux 7.2 and I am a Linux and Samba newbie. I got my
configuration information from Samba Unleashed, the SMB.CONF file and this
months Linux Magazine. I've tried everything that I could find or think of
before I posted but have had no success.

I am quite sure I am missing something. Has anyone experienced this error
and does anyone know the solution?

Thank you for your help!
