[Samba] May be a bug

I cannot compile the just released 2.2.3a source under Mandrake Linux 7.2. It reports an error about "no locking available" and aborts make. I have done this with previous versions with no problem. It did not run with rpm package either. Finding references to this message on the web or the newsgroups just lead me to pages or posts about that happening under HPUX but no hints about solution.
